Tikklabs helps people doing digital work save time, money and attention. Our guides focus on what to change, which costs and conditions to check, and what has actually been verified. Choose the problem closest to your needs below.
1. Digital wellbeing: manage interruptions and recommendation feeds#
Start here if videos, messages or repeated AI conversations keep splitting your work into unfinished pieces. Check the controls available in your environment, then compare their effect using a simple work log.
- Reduce video distractions: Hide YouTube Shorts and manage viewing limits separates desktop recommendation controls from mobile feed reminders. Check which device the setting affects and how to undo it.
- Organize work around AI and notifications: Reduce digital overload and task switching explains how to define completion, change one interruption source and compare outcomes. It distinguishes task-switching research from personal observations.
This pillar covers everyday digital habits and work settings. It does not present app controls as medical treatments or invent claims about dopamine or brain damage. Medical digital therapeutics would require a separate review of clinical evidence and intended use.
2. Local AI: can your existing PC replace part of a subscription?#
Start here if you repeatedly create illustrations or thumbnails and want to process them on hardware you already own. Examine setup requirements, processing location, model licenses, electricity and maintenance time rather than relying on the word “free.”
- Understand the system first: The local AI pillar guide explains local versus open-source AI, practical tradeoffs and the full image, video and TTS learning path.
- Generate a first image: Install ComfyUI on Windows and generate a first image covers Windows setup, an SDXL checkpoint and the first generation steps.
- Decide what to move locally: Use the cost comparison in that guide to identify a repeatable task. Confirm it works on your existing PC before reducing a subscription. Image generation, speech synthesis and chat models require different setups.
We do not invent benchmarks or claim subscription savings we have not measured. When direct execution records are available, they should include hardware, models, settings and results. An open-source application does not automatically grant commercial rights to every model or output used with it.
3. Free blog operations: records of problems actually solved#
Start here if you want to publish useful content without adding a server subscription. Tikklabs runs a Korean and English site with Hugo, Blowfish and GitHub Pages. We focus on publishing, language connections, search visibility and image management rather than treating a platform choice as a revenue strategy by itself.
- Compare Hugo and WordPress: How this bilingual blog actually operates compares editing, extensions and publishing workflows. It describes the current site without claiming a WordPress migration that did not happen.
- Find out why an edit is not live: The same guide separates source changes, build and deployment, and checks at the public URL. Saving a file and showing the update to readers are different stages.
These records do not promise ad approval or a particular income. We prioritize actionable guides, then use observed search and visit data to decide which reader problems need improvement. This starting page connects verified articles as they are added instead of creating empty series pages.
